Private rental index rose for 20 months

Prices of flats rose and the rent index of private flats rose for a further period of 20 months. In December last year, the monthly rent index rose 0.3%, while the figure for the whole year rose 7.9%. Property prices again went down. Among them, the increase was more pronounced in thin units, 9.3%.

The slight increase in December last year

According to the announcement by the SDOA, the overall private residential rents index for December 2017 was at 187.3 points, up 0.3% MoM, slightly up from the previous month and mostly led by thin units of less than 431 sq ft.

The rent index also rose for a further 20 months and reached a new all-time high. Among them, the monthly rent was also up by 0.53% on a thin basis of 431 sq ft or below. Monthly rental indices of over 1,722 sq ft 0.35%.
